8 Reasons an Electronic Bill of Sale is Better Than a Paper One

1. Buyer and Seller are Verified . We verify the identity of the buyer, seller, proof of ownership and lien status before the Electronic Bill of Sale is e-signed.  You are less likely to get scammed

2. See title before you buy. Share your electronic bill of sale log in details with a serious buyer! Let them see a copy of the title, mileage odometer and ID that confirms your identity before proceeding with the purchase.

3. Proof of Insurance coverage before seller releases vehicle to buyer.  The buyer can upload a copy of their insurance card to the electronic bill of sale account so seller can verify coverage.   This is important if the title is still in seller's name when buyer takes possession of the vehicle.

4. Loan Management Assistance.  Verify current lien-holder status.   If the vehicle has been financed and the buyer wants to pay off the loan to get the title transferred, we can assist with the process.   If the seller is financing or the buyer is borrowing money and needs to add a loan-lien or installment sale to the title, we can assist with the paper-work to insure the transaction is done properly.  Either situation would be stated in the terms of sale on the electronic bill of sale purchase agreement.

5. Support from experienced title clerks is provided to each participant to avoid potential problems.

6. Proof of Purchase. If the buyer loses the title before they transfer it out of your name, DMV will accept an Electronic Bill of Sale as "proof of purchase".  The registered owner(s) and buyer(s) e-sign the bill of sale with their digital signature and all required information to prove purchase is on the electronic bill of sale. *NOTE This does not replace the title, only provides proof of purchase.

7. If you lose the electronic bill of sale you can just print out another one. The final copy is emailed to you so you can save it to your computer to access later if needed.

8. Proof vehicle was sold.  If anything happens to the vehicle after it is sold, the seller will have proof of sale.  Having an accident or getting towed at the owner's expense can happen after a buyer has taken possession of the vehicle.  If the title has not been transferred out of the seller's name, they could be held responsible for any charges without proof the vehicle was sold.
